Airport

José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport (GYE) in Guayaquil receives direct flights from cities such as Miami, New York, Madrid, Panama City, Lima, Bogotá, Santiago, and more.

  • Ground transportation: From Guayaquil, the drive to Salinas takes about 2 hours via a fully paved road (Vía a la Costa). Tourist shuttles and interprovincial buses are also available.

Driving to Salinas

Here are some easy drive times from major cities:

  • Quito: 550 km (8 hours by car / 10 hours by bus). You can also fly to Guayaquil (40 minutes) and continue to Salinas by road.
  • Cuenca: 360 km (6 hours by car).
  • Manta: 300 km (4 hours by car).

Local transportation

In Salinas, you can easily get around by taxi, tourist transport, or rental car. The hotel zone, restaurants, tourist spots, and race area are all just a few minutes apart.
